Food Lately x 01

food lately

Who doesn’t love an awesome food adventure? I always fancy going around the metro and trying out new restaurants. Maybe I am more of a foodie than what people think (btw, they don’t think I eat alot)… but seriously I do love food… I love my carbs. <3 So I decided to share my latest gastronomic escapades…

Xocolat: For all the chocolate lovers out there, if you want that ultimate chocolate experience then this place is for you. The complete ambiance of the restaurant also gives you that homey feel which makes the whole experience more interesting. When we visited, we actually saw a lot of students – probably studying or just hanging out. We tried the Taza de Xocolat and Churroz. The Taza de Xocolat was the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted. The Churroz also complimented it. It was probably the best of both worlds. We weren’t able to try some of their dishes so we will definitely go back.

Snackaroo: It’s always amazing to find affordable places to have your steak fix. Snackaroo never fails to satisfy my meat cravings especially with their Tbone and Porterhouse steaks. Best Porterhouse in QC!

Cantino: This is a secret sweet spot that I feel lucky to be so close to our office. I love how dainty their interior is. It’s our go-to place during lunch time. My favorite would definitely be their Daing na Bangus. Once in a while they offer new things to try on their menu. I tried one of their desserts – Red Velvet Cupcakes. I enjoyed until the last bite. I really wish they bring back their signature coke floats though

Casa Quesadillas: Awesome menu at a very affordable budget. Really enjoyed the quesadillas. Friendly set of staff as well. Even saw a photo of Heisenberg on the wall. Hahaha.

Project Pie: Who doesn’t love having a customized pizza? It’s actually my second visit at Project Pie but first time at this branch. The first thing I noticed was how spacious the entire area is and how pretty the interior was. Also, plus points that the staff were friendly and accommodating. I loved the turn out of my pizza.

Hole in the Wall: I only tried the Liberation Shawarma, the rest were chicken meals from Badbird (I don’t eat fried chicken). It wasn’t as remarkable as I expected it to be. It was a little pricey and I thought wasn’t really worth it’s price. My friends said the chicken from Badbird tasted awesome.

Senju: Found the perfect Maki to go crazy for 🙂 The ambiance is perfect for an intimate setting. You have to prepare your wallet thought cause their menu is a bit pricey. The place is perfect for celebrations because they offer private rooms for family guests.

Schmidt’s Gourmet Hotdogs: I was able to try this delicious set of gourmet hot dogs during our last visit at strEAT Maginhawa. Even though there was a wide range of food choices at that area, you won’t miss the aroma of these bad boys. The hot dogs tasted amazingly.

Diet Diva: There was a time when I decided to get into the trend train of all these healthy food delivery. Apparently for Diet Diva, the suggested calorie count is 1200. I tried their 1-week program and I was really impressed with the quality of healthy food that they have. After my first week, I tried another week and then I started missing pizza and burgers. Ha!

I hope I was able to convince you to try some of these restaurants. I will end this post with a movie suggestion about.. of course FOOD. 🙂 Bon Appetite!
